The symposium will take place at Helsinki University Main Building, Minor Hall. The venue is located in the centre of Helsinki – only 30 minute drive from the Helsinki Airport, and is very easily accessible by walking or public transportation (see the map).

The symposium is a key event for the Finnish Graduate School Network in Life Sciences (FinBioNet), a national network of 29 graduate schools uniting more than 1000 Ph.D. students, whose study and research areas range from basic biomedical sciences to ecology. The audience will include doctoral students, faculty and administrators, as well as our invited guests.

This year our conference is titled "The Five Senses & Science" and will include presentations in five sessions, each illustrating high-impact scientific discoveries, medical breakthroughs, and technological advances related to the five main sensory systems (i.e. Sight, Hearing, Taste, Smell and Touch).
