Graduate student/Post-doctoral researcher positions available in the Protein Chemistry Research Group, Institute of Biotechnology, University of Helsinki and Unit of Excellence in Immunotoxicology, Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, Helsinki to characterize activation of innate immunity using modern proteomics tools. The PhD program in “Innovative Biomedical Technologies” (IBT) is an international and multidisciplinary joint postgraduate training program provided by the University of Eastern Piedmont at Novara and the University of Insubria at Varese (Italy) in collaboration with the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque and the Los Alamos National Laboratory (USA). Highly qualified and motivated students of any nationality are invited to apply for the 3-year studentships. Applicants shall hold a M.Sc. or equivalent degree. PhD Student position, Department of Medicine, The Graduate School of Molecular Medicine, University of Eastern Finland, Kuopio, Finland. The position is available for a student with a relevant experience in molecular biology, medicine or other suitable background, and who aim at a doctoral degree. The project belongs to an ongoing research investigating RNA processing and alternative splicing in obesity and diabetes. Experience in basic molecular biology (DNA, RNA and protein analyses) is needed.

Väitöskirjatyön tekijää haetaan HY/HYKS:n Ihotautien klinikan syövän tutkimusryhmäänTutkimuksemme on translationaalista ja sen pääasiallisena kohteena on uuden syöpään liittyvän geenin toiminnan sekä tulehduksen ja syövän yhteisten signaalireittien tunnistaminen.
